Full disclosure, I have loved Megan from the second that I met her. I would argue that most people feel that way! When she asked us to photograph and film her wedding, we felt so humbled and lucky. Then we met Brent and heard all about his relationship with his boys and we knew this was going to be a fun wedding for sure.
More to come on the fun in a moment. First let’s see the sweetness of these two when we snuck away to have a moment with just the two of them. That is my favorite part of the whole wedding day, the time when we can reconnect with the why of our day.
Now let’s back up to the beginning of this story which started by hanging out with the boys. They had the perfect set-up college football, food, pool and some serious jokes.
Maybe it is because I am a mom of all boys but we always try to do a mom and son first look. Brent’s mom made me cry with her reaction when she saw him. I love that they got to have this special moment together.
Then it was play time with the boys. I say play time because every minute with these guys is all about having some fun.
We snuck in to see Megan as she was finishing up getting ready. Her little sister was her flower girl and they were the sweetest together.
Then it was time for Megan to get into her dress. A few months before her wedding Megan had sent us pictures of her dress….then a few weeks before her wedding we got pictures of THIS dress while she was at the store! She had walked in to look at accessories and saw it. It was love at first sight! We agreed, so she returned her first dress and said YES to this one!
Time for one of the sweetest ceremonies to get started.
Megan’s little sister stole the show (and our hearts) as she walked down the aisle perfectly tossing her flower petals.
Unexpectedly the first cold air of the season blew in overnight. We woke to temperatures in the 50’s, in Florida that is pretty cold. As Megan hid away in the bridal suite the temperature continued to drop. I was working back and forth between inside and outside and I let Megan know to brace herself for a little bit of a surprise when she came outside… her face says it all!
Dad was sure to warm her up quick.
Dad’s tears made me cry behind the camera. I had to stop and blink away the tears so that I could see! So much sweetness.
Yes girls, let’s get inside and warm up the party is waiting inside!
What an amazing way to end an amazing day together. May you two have a lifetime of beautiful memories together.
