Everglades | Oviedo Family Photographer

I am always looking for the story. When I pack my family up for vacation I bring one lens to force myself to concentrate on the story and not the equipment. The question is then what is this story and how can I fit it in my frame. I find that I can truly balance loving and enjoying my family and downtime with sharing our story. There is no pressure to get it perfect just me, my boys and my camera.

Here is our latest trip to the Everglades. We snuck away for a few days and decided to live our adventure in a RV. It turned out to be fun and truly did add to the story of this trip. As I write this I am already longing to be back there with my boys.

Today I share my love with you:

Yes, I really was that close to the gator! At first I said no way. Then my Jon pushed me to do it, he knew just what to say to encourage me. I told him I would if he would stay close. Probably a terrible mom move but we had watched this gator for a while and there was a crowd around so I wanted to show Jon how brave I was because he believed I could. Luckily we both lived to learn how valuable we are to one another.

Until soon,

Serena
