This last week has been an amazing thing to witness. Like a Christmas tree lighting up with a million lights, Jackson’s words have arrived.
He has added at least 50 words to his vocabulary just this week, many in the form of two or three word sentences.
With all the new words comes a lot of positive reinforcement. So when Jackson said “pool” and then asked “where is the pool bag?”, we grabbed the pool bag and headed to the pool. Only after a little while in the pool, it was obvious that Jackson wanted the pretzels out of the pool bag much more than the pool!
It has been an amazing ride this week. One that leaves me breathless with hope. Or maybe just breathless after running after Jack! For all this new stimulus has him revved up and sprinting in every direction.
