I pulled the covers down and squinted to see the clock. 7:24. I looked to the right only to see Matt wasn’t there and then I listened and heard chatter in the other room. So I snuck around the corner and I just watched and listened. It was such a sweet moment. Jack was just talking away to daddy and playing so happily. It was the best way to start my morning, to get to sleep in and to get to witness a moment that wasn’t meant for me but warmed my heart even more than if it was.
It was cute after I took this picture Jack looked up at daddy and said, hey, what made that clicking sound? I was caught and pulled into the fun.
