Jackson had started not to settle for naps this week. So we decided it was time to send a little book love to bed with him. It worked like a charm. His little head never left the pillow. He just flipped through the pages until he was fast asleep.
I remember this time with each of my boys. We read with them before every sleep but being big enough to bring a book to bed is always a little right of passage in our home. Jack just a week shy of two, is excited for it to be his turn. Every time I go to get him out of bed, he has the book in hand and excitedly shares his story.
His older brothers are avid bedtime readers still. I hope that Jackson will enjoy a life long of reading too. To think it all starts in the crib.
