Jonathen got to miss a day of school to visit the BIG APPLE. At the top of his to do list was Central Park. It was beautiful and I was surprised that there was actually a park in central park. Call me silly but I always imagined more of a scenic park with running trails and pretty trees. Jonathen had fun swinging on the swings with Dad. He did make a crash landing but Dad was quick to cheer him up. Jonathen couldn’t have been a better trooper. I am pretty sure he did not realize that a trip to NYC would mean walking a marathon! My favorite moment of the WHOLE day was when Jonathen and I were walking hand in hand through times square singing, I’m Yours by Jason Maraz. I cant help but wonder if this kid has a clue how special he is to me. Sweetness inside and out.
Not a peep. Not one complaint all day. I am certain there is not a single soul out there like him. At two years old I am sure his idea of fun is not being strapped into a stroller for most of a day, but he made the most of it. That is what our Jackson does. He was mesmorized by the lights of times square. I loved seeing the big city in his eyes. I loved being in the big city with him. I would say his favorite parts of the day were when he got to play at the park in liberty square and chase squirrels in central park! Now that sounds like the two year old I know. He makes me smile just thinking of him.
