It was one of those conversations. We have a serious check-list for our retirement (from the military) that is in three short years. Boxes to check. money to save, education to complete, it is all becoming real. Never more so than when we talked over the ‘need’ for our beautiful BMW. Can we afford it, yes. Do we love it, oh yes. But do we really need it, no. It is our second car and it just seems absurd to spend that kind of money on a car that gets driven 5 miles a day. In fact since leaving Germany, the BMW is MAD. Seriously, it pouts when we start it, and it doesn’t enjoy the lack of get up and go, it revs and revs at us trying to entice us to really drive it. It craves the autobahn. So with our priorities shifted and our autobahn days behind us, we prepare to part ways. Matt gave her a nice bath on Saturday as a little farewell, I have to laugh at myself, I got a little sad, she is a beautiful car.
