When I look at him, I still see his face as I did when he was just born. That expression, that look is still there. I suppose I will always be able to see it. Just hard to believe that little baby is big enough to hold me now and to tell his little brother how much he misses me when he is away. With those words Jonathen’s expression softened and his eyes met mine, and in that moment we both realized that one day he will be all grown up too. And just like that, his head found my shoulder and he leaned in close and I couldn’t help but think that I better hold on tight. This ride happens all too fast.
