girls day

girls day apr6 :

We always make time for girls day. It can be as simple as going for ice cream. But that time, between just the two of us, is time I always cherish. This visit we spent time talking while I curled her hair. There were several moments when I had to remind myself that my baby was 13. I used to french braid her hair when she was just 1 years old (Isa was born with long glorious hair). She grew up calling it Nani Hair. For years and years she would ask her Mom or I to do Nani Hair. This time I did Nani Hair, the only difference is my Isa is taller than me now!

After her little Nani makeover we went out for a photo shoot. When this picture first graced my screen, tears came to my eyes. She looks so grown. You can see a glimpse of the woman she is growing to be.

So thankful to be her Nani. So thankful to feel so loved by my little girl.
