walking laps

walking laps apr 7 :

We spent most of the day at the airport. It was a sad day as we had to say goodbye to the Jackson’s. The tears on Isa’s cheeks are something I wish I could wipe away forever.

But it was also a very happy day as we got to meet up with our friend Mike, from our Kisling days in Germany. He was in town for just a few hours so we took him out for a Philly Cheesesteak.

It was so neat to see two of our families meet. Our Germany and Washington State Families, or Mike and the Jacksons. When Matt and I got home from the airport we just looked at each other like, what just happened! It took our brains a while to process.

The house was so empty. We have had months of company so it feels really strange. So thankful to have such love spread all over the world. Thankful even more to have them close for just a bit.

As we spent time waiting for everyone’s flights to take off we took turns taking Jackson for laps. Mike was always so sweet with little Jackson, from the time he was born. Earning him the title “Uncle” Mike. It was so sweet to see them together again.
