Like a rubber band. This weekend has been a push and pull of ideas. Both wanting the best for one another and pushing each other to be who we couldn’t alone dream to be. A cherished time.

Sometimes you loose someone and it rattles you to the core. Loosing my Aunt this year was devastating to my spirit. Couple that with moving and completely uprooting my identity all while leaving my current support system behind and it has been a hard ride. One that I have struggled with quietly. But as I […]

Pixels of my new love. For the first time ever I am creating my website from scratch. Just the way I see it in my heart. One pixel at a time. I spend hours designing, dreaming, and plotting the new site everyday. So it is only fitting that it has a place in January’s history.

He still fits in the palm of my hand…I love my calls from Tyler in Alaska. When he was little I used to think of this time, when he would be off at college, and think how sad I would feel. Instead it is a sweet feeling, knowing he is full of life and ready […]

Jackson found his tongue a few days ago and his favorite pastime is to walk up to you and say “ahhhhhh” in the effort to get you to stick out your tongue too. If you do, he rewards you greatly with a smile and a chuckle. Then he is off to play again. The only […]

Nothing cures a case of the Monday’s better than seeing Jonathen smile. Nothing brings out smiles more than playing games. Jonathen is obsessed with games right now. Last night when I put him to bed, he told me he needed a few more minutes to finish creating a new game with some cards he had […]
There is something about the way they look at you or that little giggle that gets you every time. That moment that tugs a little harder on your heartstrings. The moment that you tell yourself you are never going to forget. As a mother, I find refuge in the natural images of my children, images that bring me right back to that smile, giggle or moment.
Those images grow stronger as the years pass. At the moment the photo is taken I see it as it was. Years later and I am transported back to the moment and I feel like I can be right there again. I can even hear that little giggle that goes along with that look. To me that is the strongest investment I can make; being able to freeze time and return to it anytime I want.
I personally created Serena Nicole Studios with a mother's wish in mind. I wanted a custom photography experience to capture all of those natural looks, smiles and giggle that will transport YOU in time. Looks that are carefully crafted by a fluid and natural portrait experience that is child centered. My photographic style is very tender to encourage every one to feel comfortable so they can show me their style all their own.
I see your family as I would want to capture mine. Those looks between a mother and child, a finger wrapped tightly around yours. Candid expressions that showcase what makes your family unique and all your own. So that years later you can remember more than what you looked like but what you felt like too.
tell me about your family
I would love to get to know you too!
