He is slowly outgrowing our morning cuddles. Needing them less and less. Ready to see and interact with the world and tell me all about it. It is a good move in the right direction, but I can’t help but miss those snuggles already.

There are days when I am still awestruck at technology and what place it holds in our world. Nothing reminds me more of this than watching it in the hands of my children. Childhood is something I can use to compare, mine, with Tyler’s, with Jon’s and how much it has already changed with just […]

While Jonathen was away at his first day I kept trying to think of something special to bake him for when he got home. Finally, I came up with a doozie. I took his love of brownies and mixed it with his love of cookies and cream and made cookies and cream brownies. They were […]

This little guy loves to be upside down! You will often find him in a downward dog pose if he is on his own and today he took it even one step further and flipped himself! It may just be time for some gymnastics! But who needs it when you have Dad around to flip […]

There is a first time for everything. Even little things, like using headphones. Only for a long time before this day he wouldn’t let them near his ears, so this was a little accomplishment. Once he found out that dinosaur train was inside, he was sold. I will say my favorite part is that he […]

We probably aren’t up for parents of the year. But the rain just kept on coming today and the house was getting smaller and smaller. So Matt brought Jack outside to splash around a little out front. Only now they were soaked and shoeless and the park looked like even more fun. I grabbed my […]
There is something about the way they look at you or that little giggle that gets you every time. That moment that tugs a little harder on your heartstrings. The moment that you tell yourself you are never going to forget. As a mother, I find refuge in the natural images of my children, images that bring me right back to that smile, giggle or moment.
Those images grow stronger as the years pass. At the moment the photo is taken I see it as it was. Years later and I am transported back to the moment and I feel like I can be right there again. I can even hear that little giggle that goes along with that look. To me that is the strongest investment I can make; being able to freeze time and return to it anytime I want.
I personally created Serena Nicole Studios with a mother's wish in mind. I wanted a custom photography experience to capture all of those natural looks, smiles and giggle that will transport YOU in time. Looks that are carefully crafted by a fluid and natural portrait experience that is child centered. My photographic style is very tender to encourage every one to feel comfortable so they can show me their style all their own.
I see your family as I would want to capture mine. Those looks between a mother and child, a finger wrapped tightly around yours. Candid expressions that showcase what makes your family unique and all your own. So that years later you can remember more than what you looked like but what you felt like too.

I would love to get to know you too!
