I have been on a journey of sorts. Half literal and half figuratively. Moving my business always forces me to rethink everything. Some moves it doesn’t take me long to find my path. Other moves, to include this one, I take it a little bit slower and bask in all that is me, artistically. […]

This makes me laugh and sigh all at once. It has been a summer of brother bonding. Yet, with an age difference of 10 years, in order to bond, something has to give. And well, Jonathen has done just that! A little regression caught on film! In his sweet defense, we are working on teaching […]

It is Saturday and our house is full of excitement with the hum of the Olympic Games playing in the background. It made me think about how lucky we have been in our travels. As we stood right where the Olympic games began just one year ago. It also made me giggle to remember the […]

So today for the first time in nineteen years, I completely ran out of diapers. I took his off this morning when he woke up, went to grab a new one and the basket was empty. So I ran to check the downstairs basket, only it was empty too. Then I went to check […]

This picture makes me think, makes me wish I could go back in time. For this picture melts my heart with Jackson’s concentration and the beauty of the moment. But there is more you can’t see. Jonathen is holding the branch down for Jackson. THAT is the story and yet, I did not capture it […]

When she wrote to ask, I was beyond flattered. They had left such a sweet impression on me in Okinawa, so to know I had done the same, made me warm and fuzzy. When it came time for our session and they pulled up, I am not sure if they knew but my eyes were […]

baby you’re a firework…

family story

There is something about the way they look at you or that little giggle that gets you every time. That moment that tugs a little harder on your heartstrings. The moment that you tell yourself you are never going to forget. As a mother, I find refuge in the natural images of my children, images that bring me right back to that smile, giggle or moment.

Those images grow stronger as the years pass. At the moment the photo is taken I see it as it was. Years later and I am transported back to the moment and I feel like I can be right there again. I can even hear that little giggle that goes along with that look. To me that is the strongest investment I can make; being able to freeze time and return to it anytime I want.

I personally created Serena Nicole Studios with a mother's wish in mind. I wanted a custom photography experience to capture all of those natural looks, smiles and giggle that will transport YOU in time. Looks that are carefully crafted by a fluid and natural portrait experience that is child centered. My photographic style is very tender to encourage every one to feel comfortable so they can show me their style all their own.

I see your family as I would want to capture mine. Those looks between a mother and child, a finger wrapped tightly around yours. Candid expressions that showcase what makes your family unique and all your own. So that years later you can remember more than what you looked like but what you felt like too.

Let’s Get to know each other
